Sports fans of the Horizon League Conference have much to be excited about. With teams like the Cleveland State Vikings, Oakland Golden Grizzlies, and Wright State Raiders competing in this conference, there is no shortage of exciting action! But many people don’t know that each team has an exciting logo history behind them. This blog post will look at some of these logos and explore how they have changed over time.

The Cleveland State Vikings are among the most popular teams in the Horizon League Conference, with their iconic Viking helmet logo adorning much merchandise throughout Ohio and beyond. This primary logo dates back to 1983, when it was first introduced as part of their rebranding effort after joining Division I athletics from the Division II competition earlier that year. Since then, it has undergone several minor changes but remains unchanged from its original design – making it one of the oldest logos any collegiate sports program still uses today!

Oakland University's Golden Grizzlies also boast an impressive primary logo history stretching back to 1998 when they adopted their current mascot, “Grizzly,” along with his accompanying emblematic shield-shaped crest featuring two crossed swords beneath a bear head silhouette atop oak leaves & acorns on either side. The school colors were also updated during this period, which saw navy blue being added alongside gold & white for better visual contrast against opponents' uniforms on game day - another move that further solidified Oakland's identity within NCAA basketball circles nationwide even before winning multiple championships since then!

Finally, Wright State University began using its current Raider mascot in 1992 after transitioning away from its previous Wolfpack moniker. However, both share similar features, such as wings spread wide across either shoulder while gripping onto swords or spears (in addition to other stylistic elements). However, unlike other schools mentioned here, WSU opted not only for brighter color palettes but more intricate designs too - such as those found inside detailed feathers surrounding the central figurehead itself, symbolizing courage/strength needed to battle through tough times ahead regardless of the outcome may be ultimately decided upon afterward...which makes perfect sense considering university motto "Rise UP" serves same purpose too!.

All three schools offer unique stories behind each respective primary Logo, which helps bring out individual personalities associated with them even further than ever before; hopefully, readers got a chance to learn something new today about different types of histories attached to various college sports programs around the country thanks to reading the article!
